The bio-based chemicals cellulose, lignin and hemicellulose sugars are extracted from sawdust an abundant low value by-product of sawmills. Each of these green chemicals can be a sustainable alternative to petrochemicals used in the production of cosmetics and their packaging. Cosmetic manufacturers are increasingly looking to reduce their carbon impact and use traceable, sustainable materials in their products.
